WeatherWatch Service started in 1992 in San Diego, California by Meteorologist Tim Root. Root is now going on 36 years of weather forecasting across the country. Now Chief Meteorologist and owner of WeatherWatch Service is located in Lakeland, Florida. Root and his staff of Meteorologists forecast the weather for radio stations and news papers, motion picture companies and many others across the country. WeatherWatch Service also monitors the weather for weather insurance companies in the United States and Canada using Doppler radar, observations, and many tools provided by WeatherWatch Service, the National Weather Service and the Canadian Meteorological Service.
Chief Meteorologist started at the age of 15 years old forecasting weather for radio and was voted by the public and Connecticut Magazine in 1982 to be the best radio weathercaster in the state of Connecticut. At the time he was on the number one station in southwestern Connecticut, WEZN 100 FM.
